How faithful is the conversion?
Text, paragraph structure, headings, bold and italic styling and reading order are reconstructed from the PDF's text layer. Complex multi-column layouts and vector graphics are simplified, because a PDF stores positioned glyphs rather than a document structure.
My PDF is a scan and the Word file is empty. Why?
Scanned pages contain pictures of text, not text. Run the document through OCR PDF first to add a text layer, then convert it.
